If you’ve purchased a domain from CodeHost and are looking to integrate it with your Shopify store, you’re in the right place. To successfully connect your CodeHost domain with Shopify, it’s crucial to follow the steps outlined below meticulously. Missing or skipping a step might cause delays or errors in the process, so ensure you complete each action carefully.
Step 1 : Login to your Shopify Store Dashboard
Step 2 : Click on 'Settings'
Step 3 : Click on 'Domains'
Step 4 : Click on 'Connect Existing Domain'
Step 5 : Enter your domain name & click on 'Next'
Step 6 : Configure DNS Records
After completing these steps, you will be directed to a page like this, where you'll see DNS records that can be configured to the required directly from your client area.
- Go to Domain Management area of CodeHost
- Select your domain or click on '...' & then 'Manage Domain'
- Click on 'DNS Management'
If DNS management is not available for your domain, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team for further assistance. We’re here to help you get everything set up smoothly!
- Add Shopify-provided DNS records there one by one
Step 7 : Verify DNS Records
Go back to Shopify & click on Verify
Please note that DNS records may take anywhere from 15 minutes to 48 hours to propagate across all ISPs. Kindly wait until your domain shows as verified during this period. We appreciate your patience!
Congratulations! Your domain has been successfully connected to Shopify.
Now, all that’s left is to wait for Shopify to automatically install an SSL certificate for your domain. This process ensures secure connections and may take some time to complete. Thank you for your patience!
